About Us
Anna and I have danced, competed, and taught West Coast Swing for several years now. Our dance journey has led us to meet so many wonderful people, see amazing places, and have so many memorable experiences, that now we want to give back and inspire future dancers.
We are looking to share our passion and over 40 years of dance experience with local communities. Our dream of giving is also focused around the amazing work Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) does and thus why we have decided to establish a 100% nonprofit fundraiser and future charity: “Dance 4 Dreams.”
We have partnered with BCH for a number of years now, supporting their Corporate Cup event, and are so inspired that we want to do more for the hospital and the children.
Anna Balcom
Anna grew up splitting her time between Australia and the United Kingdom, before moving to MA in 2012.
Anna fell in love with dance at a young age, learning classical and contemporary ballet while at school. As an adult, Anna enjoyed partner dances such as Salsa, Latin Ballroom and Modern Jive, before discovering West Coast Swing.
Anna then fully immersed herself in the WCS scene, traveling from the UK to the US thirteen times in one year, to compete, learn, and dance.
Beyond dance, Anna loves volunteering with other local causes, notably the Franklin Food Pantry, Red Cross Blood Drives, and Franklin Pride event.
Kevin Balcom
Kevin is a lifelong Massachusetts resident, growing up in Framingham, before moving to Ashland and then Franklin.
Kevin started his dance journey at age 18, in Country Line Dance, and rapidly became exposed to many other dance styles, most notably West Coast Swing.
Blessed to have been taught my many amazing instructors, his love for swing expanded into the competitive arena and teaching scene.
Beyond dance, Kevin volunteers as an assistant coach in Franklin Youth Baseball.
